Download GPX

Distance: 160.93km

Duration: 7hr 30

This one reinstated...steady 100 miler with coffee and food stops where appropriate.
Not intending to have huge lunchstop.
Steady pace riding as a group, no drops.
...bit of an 'in-betweener'

Hi Trio. Glad you are taking it. Do you need the GPX?

Hi Russ, downloaded the one from your initial ride..is that one OK?

Hi Trio . No worries. There are not a lot of places for short stops but on previous occasions we stopped at a cracking pub called the Raddle. It's about halfway. There is however a nice cafe before this just before you turn of the Leek road.

Sounds good. I'll be tight for time on this - any chance of an earlier start?

In case it's not on your radar, there's a very nice cafe (Cobwebs) in Abbots Bromley - on Goose Lane, about 100 yards off the plotted route. (It appears on the Google map as "High Ash Country Store" - the cafe is in the same courtyard.) Limited options for savoury food, but good coffee and an awesome selection of cakes.

I'll join you. Will definitely need a caffeine top up at some point though.

18:44 Wed, 23 Mar 2016

Might join you for the second half - is the route anticlockwise? ie coming back along south side of Derby?

Hi Catherine, you are correct...great if you can join us.

Are you doing the gpx thing yet?

Trio J

15:07 Thu, 24 Mar 2016

Ok..I'm back in. One of my "team" for the Easter Arrow as dropped out at the last minute. With only two of us left we don't count as a team any more so no point wasting the time and money. I will see you guys in the morning. Looking forward to lunch at the Raddle.

I've downloaded the route to my Garmin but can't find it, what name does it come up as?

20:50 Thu, 24 Mar 2016

I'm not using Garmin, but download is 2707.gpx

Trio J

21:12 Thu, 24 Mar 2016

Yeah, the thing is you can change the name of a Garmin file, but the actual name of the course is stored within it somewhere, sometimes, it's a black art tbh!

21:15 Thu, 24 Mar 2016

Mine garmin came up called BCC - Hell of E

:-( Back out again. " days after my back op and with no prior warning, it decides to be sore today. A bit more rest required before riding me thinks. Sorry.

101 miles for me, totally knackered now! That pub stop options is starting the look like a good idea!
